WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Founded in 1997 by Michael Heathington, Colt started with a single crew. David Reeder Sr. joined in 2003, bringing leadership that helped Colt grow and build its reputation. Years of hardworking men and women helped build Colt into something special that has made a difference in many lives. Now, under David Reeder Jr.’s ownership, Colt continues to make a positive impact in the lives of our customers and employees.
1997
Colt Concrete & Asphalt began in Dallas, Texas, with Michael Heathington and a single crew.
2003
David Reeder, Sr. became partner and grew the company.
2011
David Reeder, Jr. joined Colt and began working on a crew.
2015
David Reeder, Jr. bought Heathington’s interest becoming co-owner.
2020
David Reeder, Jr. becomes sole owner.
2024
Colt is set on expanding to Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
